I thought this book was kind of dumb at first but when I read it a little bit deeper it made me think a little harder
Maybe go into this in more detail.
I thought that he is trying to make a cake but does not known how
I do not understand that comment maybe you can explain
y first thought of the book after I read it was this is a very good book for little kids. The pictures are very well done and are realistic. I love they way they made the story. It is good I have read it before and I am glad I did again.
Maybe you could explain what the story is about a little. Also why do you think it is good for little kids, lastly at the start there should be a capital and better grammar. But all the facts you pointed out were good. @princesa
REVISED~ I think the big idea of the story is never give up and always look to the bright side. At least that is what Jack did he is really poor and he needed to give the princess a present but he had nothing to give her, so he thought and then DING! Something came to mind if he can't afford to buy a present he will make a present for bassically free. So he baked her a cake a great cake with 2 layers and happy birthday witten on it was great. But the day of the party he was walking to the kingdom and he ran into obstacles and adventully he had no cake left. When he got to the party he explained why he had no present he told her the story. Then she stood up and was so happy that she got a story and a new friendship from him.
@Bobby Orr was that a revise version of your or mine please explain.
Do you think this book is good for older kids as well? Maybe add more more detail. Do you have any connections to this book?
I really like this book. I think it is trying to say that not all gifts have to be the coolest or most expensive. It has to come from the heart. He made a cake but things happened and he ended up with nothing to give the princess so he ended up just telling her the story of what happened and was the best gift she recieved. I think I remember Mr. Rainbow telling this story of one like it.
I liked how in the story the princess thought jack was just making they story all up
What did you think about the book? Go into more detail. His is for both @Cobra and @Shrek
I like the part in the story where the princess accepted that Jack did not have a gift for her.
@shrek and cobra
Mayde you could add more detail to your posts. Really think about what the story was saying. To me I thought the story was saying that even the smallest gift can be the best.
1.A) About a poor kid who goes through a lot of obstacles to make someone happy, And after he completes the obstacles he thought he would be kicked out of the birthday party but he was so shocked that he gave the best gift it was a great adventure story.
my first thought about this book was that Jack was a very polite, and caring boy. Even when he knew he couldn't get her a present, he made one
On this book, I thought this kid was very kind hearted and figured that a story is better than a nice present. He went through lots of obstacles just to get a gift to the princess. The sad thing was his whole cake was eaten by those obstacles. The cake was for the princess. But the princess heard his story of those obstacles, and liked it more than any other present.
